Overview
Workday HCM Functional Deployment Lead (Contract) at Metropolis. Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company using computer vision to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences. This role leads our extensive Workday deployment, driving a successful go-live and ensuring readiness for new ways of working.

This is a 12-18 month exempt contract position.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary delivery lead for a comprehensive Workday HCM implementation impacting 24,000 employees globally.
- Lead the program from the design phase through go-live and hypercare.
- Manage and mentor a team of internal resources and external consultants.
- Develop and manage the overall project plan, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Partner with business leaders to align Workday functionality with strategic goals.
- Drive organizational readiness and change management to prepare the workforce for the new system.
- Identify opportunities to optimize business processes and leverage Workday capabilities to their full potential.
- Collaborate with the VP of People Operations and the VP, ERP Transformation to ensure alignment between Workday and Oracle ERP implementations.
- Act as the key point of contact for the System Integrator and other third-party vendors.
- Engage with stakeholders across HR, IT, and business units to gather requirements and ensure successful adoption.
What we're looking for
7+ years of experience leading complex enterprise-level projects, with at least 3 years focused on Workday HCM implementations.Strong understanding of Workday's implementation methodology.Hands-on, end-to-end experience leading Workday implementations.Proven expertise in Core HCM, Recruiting, Payroll, Benefits (including Cloud Connect for Benefits Outside the US), Performance, Advanced Compensation, Global Payroll Connect, Learning, AI Illuminat.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.Experience collaborating with a System Integrator and other third-party vendors.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Nice to have
PMP or other project management certification.Compensation and workplace
The anticipated base salary is $185,000 to $215,000 USD annually. The actual base salary depends on qualifications, experience, and other factors. Total compensation may include benefits such as healthcare, a 401(k) plan, disability coverage, life insurance, stock options, bonuses, and more.
Metropolis values in-person collaboration and an office-first model requiring on-site presence. AEDT and data practices may be used in candidacy and employment processes in accordance with applicable laws.
