About the Role
We're seeking a Loan Officer Assistant(LOA) / Loan Partner II (LP2) to support a top-producing Loan Officer and play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and client-centered mortgage process.
This position is ideal for a licensed former loan processor or underwriter who can also communicate and think like a Loan Officer, someone who understands structure, strategy, and client psychology. The LP2 ensures every borrower, agent, and transaction is handled with precision, care, and confidence.
An exceptional LP2 can run the Loan Officer's entire business when needed, reviewing applications, structuring files, issuing perfect pre-approvals, and managing the pipeline through closing. This role requires deep guideline knowledge, sound judgment, and a polished communication style that instills trust with clients and referral partners alike.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
File Setups : Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness; analyze cash, credit, and income to structure files efficiently.Pre-Approvals : Issue clear, fully documented pre-approvals and be available to borrowers and agents as needed for support and clarification.Client Communication : Speak confidently and clearly with clients, agents, and referral partners to explain loan structures, conditions, and options with the professionalism and tone of a Loan Officer.Pipeline Management : Oversee the full contract-to-close process to ensure all milestones are met, conditions are cleared, and loans close on time.Collaboration : Partner closely with the Loan Officer, LP1, and LP3 team members to maintain communication, consistency, and client satisfaction.Compliance & Documentation : Maintain accuracy and compliance with all state and federal mortgage regulations.Coverage : Provide weekend support as needed to ensure borrowers and agents receive timely responses during active transactions.What Success Looks Like

Required Skills & Experience
Active Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License required.Minimum 5+ years of mortgage experience, ideally as a former loan processor, underwriter, or senior loan partner.Must have strong working knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Non-QM guidelines.Understanding of the broker process, including wholesale submission, lender conditions, and post-closing requirements.Ability to speak and advise like a Loan Officer, comfortable explaining structure, income, and qualification logic to clients and agents.Strong knowledge of loan structure, income analysis, and credit review.Familiarity with Big Purple Dot, RingCentral, Arrive LOS / POS, Loan Sifter (pricing engine), Gmail or Outlook, and Calendly.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organizational discipline and attention to detail.Proven ability to manage multiple loans, deadlines, and communication threads simultaneously.Professional, composed, and solutions-oriented under pressure.Why Join ResideSimpli
