Description of Work Unit
Housing & Dining Services (HDS) is one of the largest university departments, managing housing facilities including residence halls, university apartments, and Mountain Campus. HDS Facilities provides care and stewardship for CSU's living and dining facilities, delivering services such as skilled labor, environmental services, warehousing, movable assets, renovation and construction oversight, and facilities management functions. Facilities Operations Coordinator provides assistance to facilities operations teams to ensure successful service delivery of maintenance, custodial, and related services. The role tracks and follows up on key deliverables related to compliance deadlines (e.g., backflow testing, boiler inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, elevators), coordinates and communicates around annual events (e.g., student Move-In / Move-Out, break schedules, vacation planning), coordinates vehicle usage and purchases, and handles insurance claims and damage billing as needed.
