Engineering Services And Staff Augmentation Labor Commodity Leader
The Engineering Services and Staff Augmentation Labor Commodity Leader, GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear (GVH) is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to support customer demand for resources and technology. In this role, you will develop and execute long term strategies for a global supply base, assessing supplier capabilities, cost and capacity to meet business needs. This Commodity Leader will focus on procurement of engineering services, contractors and supplier managed scope to support the fulfillment of GVH's business needs. The strongly preferred work location for this role is at the GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC (relocation assistance provided).
Roles And Responsibilities
As the Commodity Leader for Engineering Services and Staff Augmentation Labor, your roles and responsibilities will include, but not limited to :
- Develop comprehensive supplier contractual and strategic relationships to address cost, business risk, and supply continuity
- Develop negotiation strategies and lead complex negotiations for master service agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and contracts achieve stated goals and objectives, including significant ramp-up of technical variable labor in support of new plant orders.
- Drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier performance management in partnership with business team members and in accordance with the business strategy
- Drive sourcing initiatives through the development of annual commodity operating plans, including deflation, cycle reduction, project management, Low-Cost Country (LCC) sourcing, lean, and cash flow improvement
- Work closely with the business team, in order to ensure the growth of this business segment by having strategic agreements in place and operating smoothly
- Consult with partners up to senior management on outsourcing strategies and risk avoidance, working closely with different procurement areas
- Interface with the sourcing fulfillment team on issues that arise. Help ensure sound fulfillment processes and clean hand-offs are established and maintained to fulfill aftermarket needs
- Interface with the business on issues of forecasting, planning, strategy alignment
- Develop and implement global and local commodity strategies for engineering services to meet cost, quality, delivery, and innovation goals.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular business reviews to monitor and improve performance, quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Monitor labor market trends and conduct market research when needed to stay current on labor market trends, analyze risks, and identify opportunities to improve cost and service levels.
- Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and technical requirements
- Interface with customers and regulators as required; ensure sourcing efforts fulfill key customer requirements
- Support Lean culture by working cross functionally to improve purchasing process and supporting systems
- Integrate with broader Power Sourcing and Corporate teams for improved processes / efficiency
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with minimum 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, finance, commercial, engineering or equivalent discipline OR A high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of experience in sourcing, finance, commercial, engineering or equivalent discipline.Proven experience in contract negotiation and managing complex supplier relationships.Eligibility Requirements

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus / variable incentive compensation / equity. This position is expected to close on 11 / 5 / 2025.
