Field EHS Training Coordinator — Dairy & Grain Operations

Step into a day on our job sites

You start your morning reviewing upcoming build schedules for our Dairy and Grain divisions. A crew needs refresher training on forklift and crane operation before their next lift; another site has new hires who require an on‑the‑spot safety orientation. You coordinate with project managers and foremen, finalize materials, and head out. By midday you’re conducting hands-on certification training, reinforcing lockout / tagout and mobile equipment best practices. In the afternoon you run a field safety check, spot a hazard, and pivot to a quick tailgate talk. Back at your laptop, you update training records, document an incident review for HR, and plan the next round of courses—always building a culture where everyone goes home safe.

What you’ll do

• Develop, expand, update, and implement safety training programs in partnership with division leaders, project managers, engineers, technical service leads, crew foremen, and other safety pros.
• Research industry-specific training options aligned with regulatory requirements (OSHA / ANSI), and negotiate with outside vendors when needed.
• Deliver training in multiple formats—classroom, site-based, and real-time coaching—including forklift and crane certification.
• Schedule and coordinate external subject-matter experts when appropriate; tailor content for the audience and right-size the duration.
• Conduct periodic field safety checks to identify issues and provide timely refresher training.
• Build and manage a compliant system for documenting and tracking training records and certifications; partner with HR to maintain accurate databases.
• Support incident response and reporting : visit sites, complete accident reports, gather witness statements, and collaborate with HR on care, work restrictions, and return-to-work plans.
• Champion a safety-first mindset by reinforcing company policies and expectations and advising managers, foremen, and leads.
• Represent the Dairy and Grain divisions on safety matters and serve as a resource to other divisions when needed.
• Tackle special projects and other assigned duties; maintain a professional appearance at all times.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
