The Marketing Videographer/Photographer contributes to the production of marketing-related videography and photography, while also contributing and supporting the needs of the Creative Services, Marketing, and Communications teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Edits and prepares video and photography assignments for distribution—tasks include production of video, graphics and titles, special effects, music selection, media conversion, duplication and related pre- and post-production work

Collaborates with creative services, marketing, and communications teams to concept, produce, and capture video and photography for a variety of marketing projects; general related duties including location scouting, identifying graphics/effects needs and selecting appropriate audio and stock footage

Assists and collaborates with Art Director and University Photographer on related projects, professional development, and related projects

Meets with end users to evaluate and revise video projects

Other related duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Knowledge of cameras (DSLR and mirrorless), lenses, lighting and other equipment related to capturing photos and video

Knowledge of related audio equipment, recording and production

Knowledge of distributing video files to collaborators (file transfer) and necessary platforms (social media, streaming, etc.)

Highly skilled at creating strong visual composition and engaging footage as demonstrated in demo reel

Highly skilled at editing raw footage into enticing marketing products using multiple software and hardware

Collaborate with divisional teams to envision and produce captivating footage and photography to attract a wide variety of education consumer

Skilled at identifying characteristics, trends, and nuances of various platforms and adopting them in appropriate project situations

Ability to maintain an established schedule and work occasional weekends and evenings

Ability to use interpersonal and communication skills including tact and diplomacy

Ability to work alone or in collaboration with division teams and effectively use planning and organizational skills with attention to details and follow-through
-
Progressively artistic mindset that looks for trends in equipment, techniques, and styles, and is not afraid to try new approaches to build and reinforce the UTC brand
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in communication, visual media, video production or relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four years of experience working with a production house, television station, communication or video environment; five to seven years of photography experience; and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (to fly a drone).
Required Demo Reel:
Demo reel with a clearly stated URL (YouTube or Vimeo links preferred) including at least 5 pieces shot and edited within the last 24 months, demonstrating video shot for marketing, news/documentary, and social media purposes. Applicants without clearly linked demo reels will not be considered. Position is on-site with no remote option.
