The team is expanding and we seek a Senior Manager, Recruiting to lead the talent acquisition strategy for Gotion Illinois, overseeing recruitment of top-tier talent to support manufacturing operations and technical innovation in the energy storage sector. This role requires deep expertise in recruiting for manufacturing or technical hardware roles, with a strong preference for experience in energy storage systems (ESS) or adjacent industries. The Senior Manager will build and lead a high-performing recruitment team, partner with cross-functional leaders, and ensure a seamless, candidate-centric hiring process aligned with Gotion's growth objectives in building a 40GW ESS facility hiring 2,600 employees, enabling a $2B investment. Key Responsibilities

• Talent Acquisition Strategy

Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract and retain top talent for manufacturing, engineering, and technical roles, with a focus on ESS and related industries.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of five Recruiters, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence with team members across Illinois and California.

Partner with department heads (Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and Corporate) to understand hiring needs, define job requirements, and align recruitment efforts with business goals.

Own leadership and confidential hiring by leveraging innovative sourcing techniques, including job boards, social media, industry networks, and partnerships with universities or technical institutes, to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.

Streamline the end-to-end recruitment process, from role planning to onboarding, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a positive candidate experience.

Collaborate with HR and Communications teams to build Gotion's employer brand, showcasing our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and career growth.

Track and analyze recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate satisfaction) to drive continuous improvement and report progress to senior leadership.

Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal and state labor laws, including EEOC, OFCCP, and other relevant regulations.

Oversee UR programs, and ensure we're building bridges between students and opportunities in the region.

Stay informed on trends in manufacturing, ESS, and technical hardware industries to anticipate talent needs and maintain a competitive edge.

Build strong synergies and bridge programs between local communities, training and opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 - $165,000 + 15-20% bonus + benefits + relocation. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, candidate and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
