Description
We are hiring for the position of Software System Integration Engineer in Wilton, CT, USA.
Desired Profile
Test automation - Python and C++ Embedded is preferred (more from testing & quick bug fix perspective) Experience with one scripting language- Python, Bash, Perl, etc. Experience with version control software – svn, git, etc. (preferred not mandatory) Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Ability to troubleshoot Embedded SW issues and collect system logs , Interpret the results Experience in semiconductor equipment development a plus. Fast learner, highly motivated, engagement with the team & good communication skills.Responsibilities
Support for integration
a. Set and maintain test environment for integration including bringing up the system, installing software and required patches
b. Define, execute, review and document test plan
c. Document, review and maintain test execution results
d. Log issues in agreed channel of communication with appropriate data as needed
e. To have regular alignment with SDev, EDev, MDev, functional for sharing and updating integration work
f. Be in close proximity of lab / cleanrooms to help with hardware support for integration
g. Support with debugging, recovery of test environment
h. Any other integration related work as needed by SDev / functional team
Support for software development:
a. Design, implement, test and deliver software code to provide solutions for bug fixes and improvements
b. Create required patches based on applicable development environment (e.g. Clearcase , Git)
c. Own and maintain documentation / wiki space to show status of test environment (e.g. Patch stack, SW release version etc)
d. Ensure all Jira work items for integration work have details for issue description and traceability links
