We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Phone Operator to join our team. As a Phone Operator at DLCFL, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and support over the phone.
This role requires the ability to handle a high volume of calls efficiently, with a focus on accuracy and professionalism, particularly in a medical context.
Responsibilities :
Answer and manage a high volume of incoming calls, ensuring prompt and efficient handling of patient inquiries and concerns
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to access patient information and update records accurately
Collaborate with medical staff to relay important messages, including urgent patient requests and test results
Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication refills, prescription inquiries, and pharmacy coordination
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry to support the smooth operation of the phone operator department
Conduct patient satisfaction surveys over the phone and document feedback for quality improvement purposes
Maintain knowledge of company policies, procedures, and services to address patient inquiries accurately and effectively
Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Coordinate interpreter services for non-English speaking patients when necessary
Manage and prioritize voicemail messages, ensuring timely response and follow-up as needed
Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment reminders as part of the scheduling process
Collaborate with other departments such as billing and medical records to facilitate seamless patient care coordination
Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Monitor call metrics and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for optimization
Foster a positive and empathetic rapport with patients, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional customer service at all times
Requirements :
Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume call center environment
Experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with phone systems
