Job descriptionMinimum 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting. Strong proficiency with 1040 tax returns. CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing). Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills. Competitive base compensation package. Location : Virginia Beach, VA (On-site, 5 days per week)
Experience Level : Mid-Senior
Position Overview
We are seeking a Tax Supervisor to join a growing public accounting practice. This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional with a strong background in individual taxation (1040s) who can lead, mentor, and support staff in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex individual (1040), partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff accountants and seniors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through high-quality service delivery.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and provide value-added advisory support.
