Job description

Painter / Sandb laster

Immediate position available for a Painter / Sandb laster - located in Clearwater , Florida. Great opportunity for an experienced Painter / Blaster or A non-experience motivated individual who can assist the lead Manager on various projects . Must have at least 1 to 2 years of Painting and Sandb lasting experience. But not required ! M-F 7am - 3 : 30PM

Responsibilities for The Painter / Blaster

  • Apply coatings to surfaces by us ing Pressure P ot, Airless Sprayer, HVLP , Gravity Fed Gun, Dump Gun, & Plural Component Sprayer
  • Prepares substrate for prime & paint, pressure washing, drying, cleaning, wire brushing , grinding & orbital sanding.
  • Clean and store paint tools and equipment after use.
  • Clean & Break down Equipment's accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite free from any unnecessary hazards associated with the work being performed by a paint crew.
  • Ability to read & understand Paints specs / data sheet
  • Measure and mix paint accordingly to manufacture .
  • Monitor and maintain a safe & efficient operation .
  • Monitor and maintain paint and blast pots during operations.
  • Shovels or pours abrasives, sand, grit, or shots of specified grade into machine hopper.
  • Perform general housekeeping and all assigned duties on a jobsite, as directed by the supervisor.
  • Comply with safety practices, rules, and regulations while performing job duties and follow company procedure in reporting unsafe conditions or practices.

Requirements f or The Painter / Sandb laster : but not required

  • 1 to 2 years of Painting and Blasting experience .
  • 1 to 2 years of Telescoping Forklift experience.
  • Current driver's license with a clean record is required .
  • OSHA Certification (C-10 AND c-12) a plus
  • Must be able to work outside for entire shift in all weather conditions (hot, humid, cold, wet) required .
  • Must be capable of climbing onto trailers or trucks and onto racks to secure and move equipment as well as climbing ladders to access scaffolding up to high, precarious places.
  • Be honest, on time, hardworking, reliable, and have a positive attitude.
  • Motivated individual & eager to learn.

    • Physical Demands / Work Environment for The Painter / Sandb laster :

  • Physical / Sensory Functions : Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk / hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb, squat, bending over , balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste / smell.
  • Lift and / or Move Functions : Regularly will lift up to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift up to 25 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50 pounds.
