Certified Coding Specialist II

A company is looking for a Single Path Coding Specialist II (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

Reviews medical record documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT codes for hospital and professional claims

Validates and processes medical necessity edits and payer-specific edits related to coding

Maintains quality and productivity standards while collaborating with various departments for documentation improvement

Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in a work-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

Five years of experience with proficiency in coding surgical encounter specialties

Current role-related coding certifications (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, COC)

Successful completion of the Coder Proficiency Exam (pre-hire)

Knowledge of NCCI compliance issues and health information systems (e.g., Epic, 3M 360e)
