Security Officer - Telecom Site - Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Telecom Site - Unarmed Patrol in Hopewell Junction, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will interact with employees and visitors, assist with access control, and respond professionally to inquiries or concerns. Your presence and proactive approach will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while you utilize technology such as computers or tablets as part of your daily duties. Pay Rate : $19.62 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sun 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, visitors, and staff to support a secure environment in a technology-focused setting.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Follow all instructions and protocols provided by Allied Universal and site leadership.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
