SUMMARY

The Food Bank Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for managing the receipt of products, ensuring accurate receipting and inventory records, while also maintaining a clean and organized receiving area. They oversee the Food Bank docks and associated processes to ensure food safety requirements are maintained throughout the process of receiving through product storage in the warehouse. In addition, the Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the inbound freight calendar as well as coordinating donation drop offs and member pickups from the Food Bank.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and food safety.
• Verify and document the receipt of goods, including updating inventory records, in Ceres system.
• Unload inbound truck shipments, as needed, from donors, vendors, and Food Bank Delivery Drivers.
• Coordinate with Procurement Manager to resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage inbound freight calendar to efficiently schedule incoming shipments to most effectively utilize the Food Bank docks.
• Coordinate and receive product donations from local donation drives.
• Oversee pickup orders from the Food Bank and assist members with loading trucks / cars as needed.
• Assist Food Bank Delivery Drivers with loading trucks, as needed, for morning delivery routes.
• Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular cycle counts and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments and internal programs, including Community Kitchen and Curbside Market, to ensure timely receipt and accurate distribution of products.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned to support the overall operations within the Food Bank warehouse.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

This is a full time, non-exempt position that ranges from $18.30 to $24.75 per hour, depending on experience. Foodlink covers 100% of individual health and dental insurance with the ability to acquire family coverage with pretax dollars. In addition to generous paid time off (PTO), we observe 14 paid holidays throughout the year. Opportunity to contribute to a 401k retirement savings plan upon hire. Eligible for generous employer match after 1 year of service.
