Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tooling Rework Technician to support the repair and refurbishment of high-precision tooling. In this role, you will inspect, diagnose, and rework tooling components to ensure they meet exact specifications for production. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on machining experience, and the ability to troubleshoot tooling issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect and evaluate worn or damaged tooling for repair or rework needs.

Perform grinding, polishing, and adjustments to restore tooling accuracy.

Operate manual and CNC equipment as required for tooling repairs.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

Track and maintain tooling inventory and documentation.

Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve tooling-related challenges.

Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.

2+ years of experience in tooling, machining, or mechanical repair.

Skilled in reading blueprints and using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in CNC machine operation and programming.

Experience with rework / refurbishment of tooling components.

Knowledge of honing or other precision machining processes.
