Service Representative I
The Service Representative I drives an assigned route for performing work orders including : turning water service meters on and off, installing and removing meter locks, reading and re-reading water meters, testing meters, working with customers to resolve service complaints, and by tracking and reporting all daily work accomplished.

Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record as defined by current insurance carrier.

Required Competencies
Equipment Used
Drives assigned vehicle in all types of traffic on highway as well as in residential areas. Uses hand tools for repairing and / or replacing water meters. Uses hand-held computer with small digital character display and small keyboard for entering meter readings. Uses computer desktop / laptop, copier, two-way radio, and telephone.
Environmental Conditions
Works outdoors in all weather conditions. Hands and feet are often in water or wet. The position may require working closely with others, as well as working alone for extended periods of time (all day). Work hazards include dogs, snakes, and biting insects. Occasionally encounters irate individuals.
