Oklo is seeking a Head of Construction to oversee the planning, development, and construction execution of our Powerhouses and Fuel Recycling facilities. This individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all aspects of facility development, including planning, budgeting, purchasing, and staffing.

Specific responsibilities may include :

• Provide planning, oversight and execution of new construction and capital improvement projects and programs
• Hire and manage project engineers and on-location project managers
• Willing to perform work tasks as needed on a specific and daily level
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
• With the support of Oklo's PMO and Finance Teams, oversee construction progress, ensuring that timing, costs, and contract requirements are met
• Well versed in reading and interpreting architectural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical plans
• Manage regularly-scheduled facility inspections, building construction / maintenance, electrical construction / maintenance, HVAC, property, and grounds upkeep
• Interact with Oklo's nuclear regulatory experts to ensure facility compliance with all appropriate regulations
• Organize monthly safety meetings to ensure both OSHA and the insurance carriers' requirements are satisfied and accountable for delivering safety programs to ensure no harm to people, the site, or the environment
• Developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures for effective facility management
• Plan for the best allocation and utilization of space and resources
• Monitor compliance with local codes and regulations regarding building safety and fire prevention
• Ensure successful facility startup

About Oklo compensation : Salary : $210,000-$290,000. Salary may fall outside of the range provided and will be dependent on applicant experience. Oklo offers robust compensation packages including competitive pay, equity, performance bonuses, 401k, health insurance, FSA, flexible work hours, flexible time off and other benefits. This position may involve access to information subject to U.S. export control laws. Only applicants who meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable laws may be eligible.

About Oklo Inc. : Oklo Inc. is developing fast fission power plants to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy at scale; establishing a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes; and advancing nuclear fuel recycling to convert nuclear waste into clean energy. Oklo was the first to receive a site use permit from the U.S. Department of Energy for a commercial advanced fission plant, was awarded fuel material from Idaho National Laboratory, and submitted the first custom combined license application for an advanced reactor to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Oklo is also developing advanced fuel recycling technologies in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and U.S. National Laboratories.
