Job description

VP of Accounting

Location : Hybrid - Columbus, OH

Salary : $125,000-$155,000 + Annual Bonus

Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on VP of Accounting to lead their finance operations and drive business performance. This role oversees all core accounting functions, partners with leadership on financial planning, and plays a key role in optimizing systems and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations : AP, AR, payroll, tax, audits
  • Deliver timely financial reports, cash flow projections, and Board updates
  • Oversee financial statements and tax filings
  • Align budgets with actuals and adjust forecasts
  • Evaluate and upgrade ERP systems for stronger controls
  • Guide purchasing strategy and inventory management
  • Manage risk, capital structure, and fundraising initiatives
  • Lead finance team and ensure regulatory compliance

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (MBA / CPA preferred)
  • 10+ years in financial leadership, ideally in manufacturing
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive results
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial IT oversight
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution
