Summary of Role

The Category Strategist will be responsible for leveraging insights and the category management toolkit to meet and exceed Hershey and customer financial objectives.The Category Strategist will be an expert in the pervasive application of insights to fuel growth and drive thought leadership.Key to role is synthesizing business trends, competitive trends, shopper insights, financial insights, etc., to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive conversion and shopper satisfaction across the entire shopping journey, including brick-and-mortar and eCommerce, and all fulfillment models.

The Category Strategist will influence the development and implementation of category initiatives in support of the Circle K / Hershey JBP through pervasive use of insights and capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Acts as the Category Expert and trusted partner to support in the execution of strategic business plan and Joint Business Planning process driving goals for topline sales, net sales, as well as category share targets.
• Provide management with objective, comprehensive, consumer-based insights and actionable recommendations based upon that informationthrough data compiled using tools such as, Circana (IRI), Circana Scan Panel, MSA, Numerator Insights (Data), Customer Loyalty, .
• Synthesize actionable insights using retailer data, internal / syndicated data sources, and shopper insights.
• Effectively penetrate internal and external stakeholders horizontally and vertically to align on category initiatives.
• Perform line reviews and build planograms using JDA to support incremental category growth.
• Ideate, Develop & Test strategic solutions that enhance the customer experience demonstrated to the customer through advanced POWER Storytelling skills by leveraging tools such as Mekko PPT Charts, PowerBI (Consume Dashboards), Tableau (Create Dashboards), Excel.
• Establish yourself as the leading provider of category strategies and expertise, with Circle K and within the team.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Education :

Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience :

Category Management and / or CPG Sales experience (3-7 years)
