Business Analyst
This is a contract with a great organization. As a contractor for Smith Johnson, you are eligible for medical, dental, life, disability and a matching retirement plan.
Smith Johnson pays for 70% of your medical and dental, 100% of life and disability, as well as PTO accrual. You are also eligible for a matching 3% retirement.
Smith Johnson believes in taking care of our contractors.Job Description & Primary Purpose : Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their mining organization in a contract to hire capacity, on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days onsite per week on average.
Work with various teams to analyze and document complex business processes, functions and current problems with 5-10 business applications.
Develop solutions to address gaps in functions, collaborate with teams of providers on internal teams to ensure adequate resolutions, implementations, bug fixes.
Due to the nature of the applications supported, there may be required assistance on incidents outside normal business hours.
Responsibilities : Analyze and document complex business processes / functions and current problems (scope of 5-10 business apps)Identify alternative solutions to understand gaps in business functions / processesFacilitate problem management between site-based teams and offshore teamsCoordinate bug resolution between 3rd party service providers and on-site teamsMust be based in Salt Lake City, occasional site visits required (2-3 times a week on average)Due to the nature of the application supported, may be required to assist on incident outside normal business hoursRequired Qualifications : 3 to 6 years' experience in the following : Excellent written and oral communications skillsExperience in a role of business systems analyst in a team environmentExperience working with diverse stakeholder groupsExperience in logistics systems development & support : manufacturing / ERP systems, card readers / badging systemsExperience in troubleshooting .
NET / C# apps - / ASP.net web apps and delivering minor improvements a plus (nice to have)Ability to maintain relational databases and troubleshoot MSSQL queries a plus (nice to have)
