Summary

An ETL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from multiple sources into data warehouses or analytics platforms. This role focuses on building efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines to support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines to extract data from multiple sources.
• Transform, cleanse, and validate data to ensure quality and consistency.
• Load data into data warehouses, data lakes, or analytics platforms efficiently and accurately.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot failures to ensure timely data delivery.
• Document ETL processes, data mappings, and workflows for knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Implement data validation, error handling, and logging mechanisms.
• Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and agile development ceremonies.
• Stay updated with emerging ETL tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing initiatives.
