Position Summary / Department Summary :
Oversees the creative direction of donor communications materials supporting the Trust. Works collaboratively with fundraising colleagues, primarily in principle and major gifts, to develop communications materials to support all key stages through the donor process : awareness, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Oversees the creative execution of those strategies.
Articulates and advocates a vision and voice for the brand, with an understanding and respect for the visual brand personality of Boston Children's Hospital. Works in partnership with other members of the communications team to develop design and creative direction that optimize the strengths of each media, including print, online and mobile. Inspires others and creates / maintains an environment where big ideas consistently occur and thrive.
Key Responsibilities :
Work with fundraisers, copywriters, other designers and communications colleagues to develop creative solutions that meet project goals and brand attributes.
Direct vendors, such as photographers, illustrators, printers, etc. with creative guidance and quality control.
Oversee the entire design process, from initial ideation and concept development to final delivery for various projects in multiple channels, print and online.
Develop and enforce visual style guides, ensuring consistent brand representation across different media and campaigns.
Present design concepts and project progress to clients and internal teams, developing strong relationships and managing expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
Experience :
Eight years of agency or in-house creative experience leading integrated, cross-channel campaigns across all print media and digital including websites, mobile and social. Consistent, proven creative talent demonstrated by the creation of multiple well-produced effective campaigns and which display a superior design sense.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
