JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this job is to manage an aggregate plant in all aspects of plant operations including safety, productivity, quality, customer service and profitability. The Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring safe, quality, efficient production of aggregate products as well as leading the team towards this goal.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Direct Plant Leadman with day-to-day operational guidance and plant resource Management.
Ensure plant team members follow company procedures, laws and regulationsincluding quality standards and compliance with MSHA and environmental rules and regulations.
Hold plant team members accountable to rules and expectations : hiring, coaching, disciplining, training, and developing as required.
Train employees, enforce policies, eliminate workplace hazards, build a culture of safety excellence.
Ordering parts and supplies as needed. Accurately accounting for spending and ensuring production costs remain within budget.
Asset Management and Maintenance : Track PM schedules, submit work orders, coordinate repairs, reduce downtime, etc.
Inventory Management : ensure correct production reporting and adjust reporting to reconcile with inventory flyovers.
Production reporting, downtime recording, maintaining training records.
Increase production and plant processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and participating in business-related projects.
Help develop and execute short to mid-term mine plans.
Ensure an adequate supply of quality sellable product. Communicate with Sales team on sales demand and customer service issues.
Assist in defining and delivering projects as needed.
Escalate operational issues to supporting departments and Area Manager as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient knowledge of aggregate industries and operational best practices including detailed understanding of mine planning, plant and process flow, etc.
Ability to lead and motivate others
Ability to manage change
Good organization and time management skills
Experience managing multiple, competing priorities
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass MVR
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 5+ years of related industry experience
Experience leading teams and managing others to organizational objectives
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
25% travel to assigned plant location(s) and job sites

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
Employee primarily works out of office at a plant location but is mobile between other plant locations and construction job sites.
Located in the northeast area of DFW
