Join Fenway Health : Where Mission Meets Medicine!

At Fenway Health , we believe that healthcare is a human right. For over 50 years, we’ve been at the forefront of providing high-quality, compassionate, and inclusive care—especially for LGBTQIA+ people, people living with HIV, and all those who have been historically underserved by our healthcare system. Now, we’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician to join our Primary Care team—someone who is not only clinically excellent, but also deeply aligned with our mission of advancing health equity and advocating for social justice through care, research, and education.

Make a difference where it matters most. Join Fenway Health and help us build a healthier, more equitable world—empowering people from all walks of life to live, love, and thrive freely.

What You'll Do :

  • Deliver patient-centered, trauma-informed, and affirming primary care to a diverse patient population across the lifespan.
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of providers, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, and care coordinators.
  • Champion equity by providing care that respects and affirms the identities, lived experiences, and challenges of each patient.
  • Participate in clinical quality improvement and contribute to our integrated model of care, which includes HIV services, behavioral health, and gender-affirming care.

Who You Are :

  • A certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) licensed (or license-eligible) in Massachusetts.
  • Committed to delivering high-quality, culturally competent care in a fast-paced, community health setting.
  • Passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ communities, BIPOC patients, and other marginalized groups.
  • Eager to be part of a progressive organization that blends clinical care with advocacy, research, and education.
  • At least two years of clinical experience as an NP / PA in community health, public health, or trauma-informed care is highly valued.
  • Strong commitment to team-based care and an ability to thrive in a mission- and values-driven environment.
  • Why Fenway?

  • The Fenway Institute – our renowned research center, advancing science in LGBTQIA+ health, HIV prevention, and health equity
  • Our Education Center – a nationally recognized training hub for residents, students, and health professionals
  • Integrated Care Teams – including nursing, behavioral health, pharmacy, and population health specialists working alongside you
  • Comprehensive On-Site Services – including behavioral health, optometry, OB / GYN, dental, and healthcare for trans and non-binary individuals
  • Public Health Programs – including walk-in sexual health clinics, harm reduction services, and street medicine outreach

  • Clinician Wellness Initiatives – including AI-assisted note writing, alternative care models, and a focus on sustainable scheduling
  • Compensation Incentives – including RVU- and quality-based incentives, as well as opportunities to earn additional income through shift coverage and project-based work
  • A Culture of Advocacy and Inclusion – where your voice matters and your values are shared
  • What Fenway Health Offers You!

  • Generous paid time off (PTO) package, with nearly nine (9) weeks of vacation, sick, personal and holiday time accrued annually
  • Comprehensive and low-cost health, dental, and vision insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Retirement 403 (b) plan with employer match
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility, and opportunities to take advantage of loan repayment support through HRSA, MLRP, and other loan repayment programs
  • License fee reimbursement
  • Educational opportunities through The National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center
  • Supervision, in-service training, and professional development support
  • Employee wellness program
  • Requirements :

  • Education : Graduate degree from a certified Family Medicine / Pediatrics NP program
  • Current Massachusetts license

  • Willingness to contribute towards Fenway’s efforts in becoming an anti-racist organization and promoting a culture dedicated to ongoing development in service of humility, equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, where differences are acknowledged and valued.
  • Preferred Qualifications :
