Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare System is hiring a PRN Radiology Tech for Barnes-Jewish Hospital Position Details : PRN - Flexible Scheduling Monday - Friday for evening shift Mallinckrodt Tower (General Diagnostic Department) Samsung and Carestream portables equipment Must be available to work 4 shifts per schedule period (6 weeks) to meet PRN Requirement Qualifications : Education : Associate degree or higher in a related field. Certification : Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R). - Current or obtaining in the next 6 months Experience : ARRT registered New grads, upcoming grads, and experienced Radiologic Technologists / MRI Technologists are encouraged to apply Radiologic Technologist, x-ray technologist, x ray technologist 2 year's experience as a radiologic technologist (preferred) CPR certified Able to work independently in the emergency room, performing portable exams or performing exams on in-house patients. You will be working with an organization on the leading edge of diagnostic radiology. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and / or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and / or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders Responsibilities Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism. Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
