Life Enrichment Supervisor – Immediate Opportunity

RiverSpring Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Supervisor to join our dynamic team at RiverWalk, our Independent Living facility!
The RiverSpring Living campus is set on 32 acres overlooking the Hudson River, in Riverdale, New York.RiverSpring Living provides a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, managed long term care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care.
The Life Enrichment Supervisor will engage in the planning, organizing, execution, development and implementation of programs / activities both on-site and off-site conducive to maximizing resident's independence and wellbeing, strengthen family ties and promote peer to peer social interaction as well as the pursuit of intellectual, spiritual, social and recreational interests. This role acts as champion of resident engagement by creating and leading exciting, creative and fun special events, trips and programming, both group and 1 : 1. This role is responsible for supervising and scheduling outside consultants and provides maximum encouragement for residents to engage in community life.
Schedule : Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday 9 : 30am - 5 : 30pm
Key Responsibilities :
Offers each resident a schedule of activities which consider and reflects the age, sex, physical and mental capabilities, interest, cultural and social backgrounds of the residents
Creates and distributes monthly calendars by the first of the month and daily activity reminders by the start of the day.
Supervises activities of program volunteers and consultants which includes taking attendance to ensure that group is being attended and should continue
Manages the overall activities line budget for the year adjusting and making recommendations as necessary
Qualifications :
An associate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in recreation, therapeutic activities or a related field
Three years of related work experience, one year of which includes related supervisory experience; courses of study may include, but need not be limited to, human services for dependent adults, gerontology, home economics, art therapy, music therapy and physical education.
Related work experience may include, but need not be limited to, work in residential care, rehabilitation, health care management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrates a dynamic, engaging personality, creative abilities and a desire to be innovative and flexible. Must receive 10 hours / year of continuing education credits.
Compensation :
$60,000 - $65,000 Annually
