Reservoir Engineering Technician

We are a mid-sized, privately held Oil and Gas E&P company seeking a Reservoir Engineering Technician to join our Houston office. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in reservoir and production engineering. Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and capable of growing with the company.
- ?Key Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain PHDwin databases to support A&D efforts, corporate reserves and engineering workflows in multiple US Basins.
- Generate production decline curves.
- Provide technical support to both Senior Engineering and Business Development Teams through data preparation and analysis.
- Analyze lease operating statements, AFE's, workover, and completion expenses to integrate into engineering models.
- Review revenue statements to determine historical pricing differentials and apply to asset evaluations.
- Pull and organize daily production data from industry sources (such as PDS, PramsPlus, Enverus) for engineering analysis.
- Track horizontal offset activity to ensure timely engineering evaluation and planning.
- Strong understanding of both horizontal and vertical production curves.
- Format and organize technical data for presentations to management and other stakeholders.
- Support production, LOE, and P&A tracking processes, including cost lookbacks and data validation.
- Maintain well lists for reserves, insurance, and other corporate reporting needs.
- Occasionally assist with field data collection or site visits as needed.
- Provide support to other teams based on skillset and company needs.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering Technology, or related field; or equivalent relevant industry experience.1–3 years of relevant technical experience with an oil & gas operator preferred.Bank experience a plus.PHDwin experience required, Aires experience a plus.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with WellView, AFE Navigator, Enverus, Tableau / PowerBI preferred.High attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers, geologists, and field personnel.Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), or hold a valid H-1B visa with authorization to work in the United States.
