About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Valid compact or state nursing license required

Certifications : Current BLS and IV certification

Must-Have :

Proficiency in IV starts and general nursing skills

Experience with EPIC EMR system

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Description :

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients.

Perform IV starts and general nursing tasks such as monitoring, lab work, medication administration, and patient education.

Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient care management.

Demonstrate maximum flexibility and may be required to work every other weekend.

May be floated to units of equivalent or lower acuity as necessary.

Serve as charge nurse if needed.

Daily patient census is approximately 25.

The unit houses various medicine teaching services of medical surgical.

Special procedures and equipment utilized on the unit include NG / Dobhoff, Kangaroo pump, wound vac, and chest tube.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Patient diagnoses commonly include bacteremia, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, anemia, gastrointestinal bleeding, falls, abdominal pain, and medication holds.
