Responsibilities Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a hospital setting Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery, transplant, and device-assisted care Utilizes NextStage CVVH machine and basic telemetry monitoring 12-hour day / evening shifts (07 : 00-19 : 30), every other weekend, and some holiday coverage required Travelers are the first to float between units or locations as needed Join a collaborative team providing specialized care for cardiac, thoracic, and transplant patients in an acuity adaptable setting Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Strict pass / fail telemetry testing is required before assignment begins First-time travelers may be accepted Comprehensive orientation is provided based on department schedule Holiday assignments and weekend rotations are required per unit policy Dress code and scrub color requirements will be provided upon assignment Requirements Active WI or compact RN license in hand BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association Minimum two years of acute care RN experience within the past three years in CVICU Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required Basic arrhythmia experience with successful completion of a telemetry exam prior to start (passing criteria must be met within two attempts) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-616989.
