Position Overview

The Paralegal provides critical legal and administrative support to the legal team to help ensure compliance, manage risk, and support the organization's mission. The role involves research, document preparation, support, and review of internal audit processes as well as coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role will involve support across all legal areas affecting the company, including labor and employment, commercial contracts, procurement, healthcare, and HIPAA.

Essential Duties

  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents, including contracts, MOUs, and grant agreements
  • Conduct legal research and compile findings in a clear, concise format
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files
  • Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, audits, or legal proceedings
  • Help monitor organizational compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Support internal training initiatives on legal best practices
  • Participate in internal reviews and audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field
  • Experience with contracts, required
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, required
  • Experience with Labor and Employment laws, highly desired
  • Legal research and writing skills
  • Experience drafting legal documents
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. It's not about passing or failing-it's about understanding fit and setting you up for success.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

    To keep our colleagues, members, and communities safe, OCHIN requires all employees-including remote employees, contractors, interns, and new hires-to be vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine, as supported by state and federal public health officials, as a condition of employment.     Base Pay Overview

    OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. For this role, the typical offer range falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
