Job Description :

Chestertown, Maryland, is seeking a committed Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role entails providing speech and language services to students within our local school district.

Responsibilities :

• Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
• Create and implement personalized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to support students' speech and language development.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to enhance students' academic and social progress.
• Monitor students' advancement and adjust therapy techniques as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in accordance with state regulations.
• Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications :

• Possess a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
• Hold an active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Maryland.
• Obtain certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools or be eligible for certification.
• Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or be eligible to obtain it.
• Preferred experience working with students in educational settings.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
