Project Management Coordinator

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Coordinate and support the activities of a project team
• Assist with defining scope statements
• Facilitate scrum meetings acting as scrum master
• Supervise, train and mentor Project Management staff as assigned
• Assist with PBITS or RFP requests
• Create and maintain work breakdown structures
• Determine project start and end dates and establish critical milestones within the schedule
• Record quality metrics and compile project reports
• Interact with stakeholders and coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure objectives and milestone timelines are met
• Set up and facilitate Project meetings

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.

This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination.
