Associate IT Quality Assurance Engineer

Anticipated Starting Salary Range : $53,000 - $70,000

Starting Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

The State Corporation Commission's (SCC) Information Technology Division (ITD) is seeking an Associate IT Quality Assurance Engineer interested in a rewarding public service career. This position will perform day to day operational testing, which will include web-based application testing, system and integration testing, ad-hoc testing, and exploratory testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assist with developing test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for web-based applications and infrastructure.
• Analyze user requirements, design documents, and technical specifications to develop detailed test cases.
• Perform gap analysis between the requirements and the test cases and prepare the Requirements Traceability Matrix.
• Write code for automation scripts to execute tests for web-based and infrastructure applications.
• Assist with developing user acceptance tests representing the appropriate test scenarios and level of detail for business users.
• Assist with building the Test Automation Framework from scratch with C# and maintaining the automation test suites.
• Participate in functional testing, integration testing, and end to end testing.
• Identify and track bugs.
• Communicate results from testing to the IT development team and business area for replication.
• Schedule and facilitate user acceptance testing activities.
• Perform ad-hoc testing will be performed in accordance with industry standards and best practices in application design.
• Perform related work as required.

The Associate IT Quality Assurance Engineer position offers a hybrid work schedule (some in-office and telework days each week) as well as a variety of professional development and training opportunities.
