Role Description We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Operations Associate to support our lab and office operations.

This person will be responsible for making sure our facility runs smoothly and supporting our technical operations. The ideal candidate will be both able to independently execute day-to-day operations and maintenance activities as well as be willing to roll up their sleeves to quickly tackle facility management issues.

This person will work closely with all members of the Form Energy team to provide a great and safe place to work. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving technology start-up with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission.

• Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments with an electronic inventory system
• Organize and maintain hardware and consumables inventory : Inspect, organize, log and distribute components and hardware
• Manage and maintain all materials incoming assuming they are delivered to the correct point of use and safely stored
• Track and maintain inventory of key material quantities in support of maintaining allowable on use quantities
• Support the shipping of items to off-site storage including wrapping, logging, marking items for shipment and between sites in Somerville
• Organize and execute economical freight shipments
• Support the receiving of large, heavy items from suppliers and tollers
• Lead / participate in space organization events
• Maintain safe surfaces inside and outside the facility (snow removal, wet floor caution etc)
• Interface with vendors, provide escorts, maintain a secure environment
• Work with purchasing to identify items to be asset tagged; tag and enter information in asset log
• Support the assembly and installation of facility furniture / equipment as requested
• Expected to regularly lift 35 to 50 lbs
• Attend the door / dock security 9 AM to 5 PM
• Assist in security, housekeeping, maintenance, and safety needs of the organization
• Experience doing hands-on work
• Ability to learn to cloud-based organizational tools
• Flexibility, ability to shift gears quickly and come back to the original task as needed
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong communication skills within a group of peers and the broader organizationTrades skills are a plus
• Self-motivator willing to follow projects to completion with minimal prompting
• Positive attitude and appetite to learn and grow within our organization
• Willingness to share ideas to contribute to organizational and technical problem solving
