Stockroom Operations Team Lead
Factory Operations is accepting applications for the position of a Stockroom Operations Team Lead. This position is an individual contributor role that reports into the Stockroom Manager. The Team Lead will assist the Stockroom Manager in organizing the staff members and overseeing the operations to safely receive, stock, transport, and ship inventory to meet all internal and external requirements. A fast paced, high visibility position requiring excellent communication skills and a positive 'Can Do' attitude. This position is designed for growth for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include :
- Develop strong relationships with the stockroom team and internal customers to increase the overall effectiveness and transparency of the stockroom operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, production planning, manufacturing and logistics to support both internal and external orders and expectations.
- Answer and act on stakeholder inquiries.
- Ensure inventory accuracy which includes cycle counting.
- Drive to resolution corrective actions for kitting / inventory issues / errors in all warehouse locations.
- Significantly contribute to the annual physical inventory including pre and post transactions.
- Oversee and maintain the inventory storage polices that keep distinct types of inventories at different locations.
- Report any transactional workload concerns to the Stockroom Manager.
- Report any safety concerns to the Stockroom Manager or Safety Manager.
- Working with the Stockroom Manager, drive improvements on KPIs.
- Conduct training for team members.
- Be a role model for company safety policies and procedures.
- Be a key contributor for developing and implementing cost saving strategies and techniques.
- Maintain areas of responsibility in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge / skills, Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in related field.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.Proficiency with MS Office Suite.Experience in transaction entry and management in an ERP system, SAP preferred.Working hours will be 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm although flexibility may occasionally be required to meet business needs.Attention to detail with a drive for accurate results.Blueprint reading a plus.Individual must be flexible and be able to perform a broad variety of tasks related to inventory management and stockroom operations and continue to drive improvements and efficiencies. Travel between Primetals Technologies local locations (Sutton) may be required from time to time.
