General Description
Supervises teams in production, packaging, logistics and ensures all products meet high quality standards. Communicates closely with previous shift supervisor, plant manager, and employees on production progress and addresses any issues. Demonstrates leadership to empower line employees, fostering performance that contributes to corporate, plant, and individual goals. Develops and executes strategic plans to meet plant objectives set by management. Implements and adheres to safety procedures, GMP, SOPs, and policies outlined in the handbook.
Tasks And Responsibilities
- Supervise all associates in production, packaging, and logistics, working closely with departments like Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Human Resources, and Executives.
- Achieve production rates, yield, and quality standards as per operational goals.
- Conduct regular plant tours to verify recipe adherence, line parameters, proper documentation, and SOP compliance, and address discrepancies.
- Lead problem resolution efforts and involve the plant manager as needed.
- Ensure only high-quality products are produced, including in processing, packaging, and labeling.
- Research and communicate methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with maintenance through work orders.
- Train and mentor new employees, documenting progress.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Maintain open communication with staff, troubleshoot issues, and address concerns.
- Enforce SOPs and plant rules, ensuring cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Manage staffing schedules and record attendance.
- Lead team meetings and verify employee punctuality and task completion.
- Promote safety and compliance with OSHA, GMP, SOPs, and company policies.
- Support food safety initiatives, participate in HACCP and related meetings, and ensure proper documentation.
- Address safety concerns and accidents promptly.
- Uphold social responsibility standards, including training, ethics, and environmental KPIs.
Skills Requirements
Positive, engaging leadership style; lead by example.Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.Strong communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage and motivate staff to high performance.Proficient in MS Office; solution-oriented mindset.Basic math and reading skills; mechanical inclination a plus.Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in food production.Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures and noisy environments.Must wear PPE and follow safety protocols.Schedule
2nd Shift : 10 PM - 10 AM (4 days / week)
Salary : $20 / hour
