Our West Coast healthcare team is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team anchored in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Oakland. Arup is known for designing innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients throughout the United States, and sometimes globally.

You will work on projects within the Healthcare industry and beyond. ?Your projects will offer the ability to make a strong contribution to the community while delivering cutting edge systems that will meet challenges in decarbonization and sustainability. ?Our aim is transforming clients to deliver a sustainable future while also meeting goals around resiliency and critical care.

The Opportunity :

• Leading mechanical engineering designs and providing multi-disciplinary design leadership on projects. Design of mechanical systems including complete airside systems, heating and cooling hydronic plant systems, specialty exhaust systems, and steam systems.
• Working in collaboration with different stakeholders and code officials such as HCAi to deliver integrated projects through construction.?
• Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated design deliverables
• Assisting, Supervising or mentoring team members and delivering timely feedback and recognition to others.
• Maintain strong client relations as it pertains to project delivery and repeat business.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports and presentation materials and incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings.
• Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participating in local Professional Associations.
• Responsible for quality standards, commercial metrics, and client relations for projects.

San Francisco Hiring Range - Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in San Francisco is $129,100 to $146,700 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of San Francisco will differ.?
