The Opportunity
In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, helping people restore their health and get back to daily life.
What You’ll Work On
Responsible for the sale of products in a defined geographical district and for the development and execution of sales plans, targets and budgets within the overall regional and business unit sales strategy. Directs the EP sales of Abbott products and / or services in a specified region; exercises direct supervision over Company sales force personnel.Recommends, interprets and implements corporate, division or organizational policies and procedures to accomplish assignments and resolves a broad range of issues. Sets goals, ensures they are met, and drives continuous process improvement. Ensures quality of services meets internal and external customer requirements.Maintains judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. Uses best business practices to ensure success in responsibilities. May be responsible for processes across regional or organizational lines.Ensures operational practices across the district run smoothly, meet budget and sales goals, and align with marketing campaigns and promotions.Create and maintain budgets for the district; coordinate with and report to senior management.Support sales representatives and key account colleagues in managing key client relationships and in contract negotiations with key customers.Build district sales capability and manage and motivate the district sales team.Hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff; provide career coaching, growth and personal development. Develop staff through critiques, instruction, mentoring, evaluation and coaching. Ensure safe working environment and strong customer focus.Prepare regional sales forecasts and participate in determining market potential and EP sales expense estimates for the region.Plan and manage the EP sales effort for the assigned region.Maintain contact with major accounts, assist sales reps with relationships and closing deals.Participate in marketing policy development, recommending product revisions and pricing changes.Assist sales support / marketing with activities such as sales promotion, training, and market research for special projects.Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent.Typically eight plus years of progressively responsible experience in Tachycardia / Bradycardia product areas or a related discipline, including direct experience in CRM / EP product sales.Strong leadership skills and experience suitable for a management position.Skilled at delegation, follow-up, and team building.Direct knowledge about physicians in the CRM / EP medical market.Judgment and experience applying state-of-the-art sales principles; proven record of delivering sales information to support management decisions.Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.Ability to perform intermediate arithmetic, interpret graphs, and solve problems with limited standardization.Working knowledge of common PC programs and applications (email, Microsoft Office, etc.).Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19. The base pay for this position is $123,100.00 – $227,000.00. In some locations, the pay range may vary.
