The Manager, IT oversees the planning, implementation, and support of secure, cost-effective technology solutions that enable business goals. This role partners with leaders to understand needs, manages IT budgets and vendor relationships, establishes policies and security standards, and ensures reliable system performance and end-user support. The Manager also leads and develops IT staff and identifies technology improvements to support long-term organizational growth and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

Partner with business and functional leaders to identify technology needs and deliver secure, cost-effective IT solutions.

Oversee IT systems and infrastructure, including deployment, maintenance, upgrades, and end-user support.

Develop and manage IT budgets, business cases, vendor relationships, contracts, and procurement.

Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and security practices to ensure reliable and compliant operations.

Lead and develop IT staff; stay current on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to support business goals.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Show initiative in constantly reassessing business requirements and make suggestions that proactively address changing business needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, IT, computer science, or related field; or equivalent experience / certifications.

5+ years of experience managing key IT functions and / or advanced training in IT or management.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with IT staff and end-users.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and foster effective teamwork to achieve objectives.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; adaptable to change and committed to continuous improvement.

Current knowledge of IT industry trends and emerging technologies.
