Job description

Overview

Field Service Technician, Crew Based, Commercial at Tesla. This role involves traveling across the United States to service Tesla's Commercial Energy products, primarily solar PV systems, energy storage, and EV charging stations. 100% travel required. Candidate must reside in contiguous United States (lower 48).

What You'll Do

Layout and assist in the assembly of solar modules / array, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment
Organize trucks for installs / removals for the upcoming day, ensuring neat and organized setup
Perform preventive maintenance on Commercial PV systems; mentor / training others as needed
Respond to corrective maintenance cases on all commercial energy products and update online case logs
Address customers\' concerns with system performance or functionality

What You\'ll Bring

Minimum 2 years\' experience with PV equipment and installation, preferably commercial or utility-scale; knowledge of electrical wiring and ability to read electrical plans and manuals

Experience with power / hand tools and electrical equipment; ability to navigate multiple computer applications

Ability to work at great heights and in extreme environments; able to lift at least 50 lbs frequently

Ability to perform repetitive duties, lift, bend, and stand for long periods; safely handle ladders, inverters, solar panels, batteries, and related equipment

Ability to climb and work on-site using ladders rated for required weight; comply with OSHA fall protection standards

Valid driver's license
