POSITION : Community Specialist - School Choice Office
REPORTS TO : Assistant Director of School Choice
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS : The Community Specialist provides direct support for the implementation of the HPS Choice Office's consumer engagement, recruitment, marketing activities and works to inform families of applying to the Hartford district. The Community Specialist attends community recruitment events, fairs, and provides technical assistance sessions to support families and other stakeholders during the HPS and Regional School Choice application process. In addition, the Community Specialist provides technical and staff support for overall operation of the department, including direct support to the HPS Choice Office stationed at the HPS Welcome Center.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : Non-certified
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : twelve-month work year. Salary in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement for Hartford Educational Support Personnel (HESP) Salary Grid C470 $43,954 - $52,129. (2019-2026).
