Overview
The Warehouse Team Lead assists the supervisor with managing and overseeing all functions of the warehouse to ensure smooth operations and high standards of performance.
What You'll Do
- Assist the supervisor with managing and overseeing all functions of the warehouse and ensure smooth operations
- Lead the receiving department and ensure functions are used correctly
- Delegate and assign work to maintain a 100% fill rate
- Help manage inventory and provide necessary training within the department
- Ensure proper use and accountability of tools
- Ensure hours and functions are recorded correctly (e.g., time clocks)
- Respond to emails and inquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain product flow and department cleanliness, including daily trash compacting
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Working understanding of WMS systemsLeadership and motivational skills with the ability to make decisions with minimal guidance based on policiesPhysical role involving moving / processing products and leading a warehouse teamAbility to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuver 150+ pounds unassisted or via team liftExperience in multiple departments (receiving, inventory control, pick / pack / ship / return)Experience composing and replying to emailsPower Equipment experience; willing to be trained on Powered Industrial Truck Operations (PITO)Experience creating and updating systems such as trouble tickets2+ years of work experience with excellent attendanceUnderstanding of HighJump is a plusAbility to read and comprehend English for safetyBenefits
