The Sr. Director, Marketing And Business Development (Americas) is responsible for all demand generation, growth initiatives, and win-rate optimization for SCIEX across the Americas. This role shapes and executes innovative marketing and business development strategies for all products and services, driving regional success through close collaboration with sales, service, and global marketing teams. By spearheading impactful programs and cultivating market opportunities, the Senior Director plays a critical role in expanding market share and accelerating business growth throughout the region.

This position reports to the VP and GM Americas and is part of the Americas leadership team located in Marlborough, MA and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Manage a team of Market Development Managers and Marketing Professionals across the Americas.
  • Ensure regional execution of trade shows and marketing campaigns to drive opportunity funnel development and increase win rate.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies and action plans that will generate growth for our various customer segments leading to increases in market share.
  • Define and refine in cooperation with Leadership the optimal GTM strategy for our various customer segments for all products and services.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the region sales team to design and implement marketing programs that enable the attainment of sales goals.
  • Lead the execution of value propositions & competitive differentiated positioning based on deep customer segmentation and understanding of their buying criteria & needs.
  • Manage the demand generation process to achieve lead volume and quality targets.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • A four-year college degree from an accredited institution is required; an MBA or equivalent is preferred. 8-10 years of marketing & or commercial experience.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain talent through effective feedback, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Strong understanding of life science analytical instrumentation companies, products, and markets. Unquestioned integrity with an innate drive to exceed goal of unambiguous share gain within the region.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills supported by strong business acumen.
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written, to engage, influence and get buy-in from all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic with ability to manage and prioritize a diverse mix of issues, responsibilities, and challenges daily.
  • Willingness to take balanced risks and deploy creative and innovative approaches to improving market visibility.
  • Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements :

  • Ability to travel 50% including overnights, within the Americas
  • It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

  • Detailed knowledge of global technological developments and trends relevant to SCIEX's markets.
  • Experience managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.

    The salary range for this role is $235,000- $270,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus / incentive pay.
