Mechanical Engineer - Furnace Design
A global chemical manufacturing company needs a mechanical design / reliability engineer with extensive experience in furnaces to lead efforts for a series of reformers and related processes on the gulf coast.
Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical integrity work for methane reformers, burners and other furnace and boilers
- Part of central engineering and project team for company chemical plants along the gulf coast
- Manage projects - scope and budget for smaller projects and be part of the team for larger projects
- Work with the API and piping codes you would see in refineries and reformers
- Manage NDT work with pressure vessels, burners, tubes, etc., with multiple alloys
- Work with all from engineered materials / exotic alloys to refractories
- Extensive work with multiple teams - mechanical integrity is in the middle of it all
Qualifications
4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering10+ years of experience in mechanical integrity, combustion engineering, fixed equipment reliability, etc.Most experience in or around plants - ideally reformers (methane, ammonia plants, hydrogen plants), refineries, etc.Legal to work in the U.S. presently and in the future (no visa required)Compensation
Salary is approx $140,000 - $157,000 plus bonus.
