Mechanical Engineer - Furnace Design

A global chemical manufacturing company needs a mechanical design / reliability engineer with extensive experience in furnaces to lead efforts for a series of reformers and related processes on the gulf coast.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical integrity work for methane reformers, burners and other furnace and boilers
• Part of central engineering and project team for company chemical plants along the gulf coast
• Manage projects - scope and budget for smaller projects and be part of the team for larger projects
• Work with the API and piping codes you would see in refineries and reformers
• Manage NDT work with pressure vessels, burners, tubes, etc., with multiple alloys
• Work with all from engineered materials / exotic alloys to refractories
• Extensive work with multiple teams - mechanical integrity is in the middle of it all

Compensation

Salary is approx $140,000 - $157,000 plus bonus.
