Job Details

Our Unit Secretary will :

• Be responsible for performing administrative tasks for the nursing unit- including filing and organizing patient records / charts, managing inventory of office and medical supplies for the nursing unit, screening calls and visitors, answering inquires, and ensuring the delivery of mail and messages in a prompt and courteous manner
• Perform hands on tasks involving patients, such as transporting patients, delivering specimens to the lab, and assisting with delivering meal trays to patients
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to meet the needs of patients and optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
• Provide excellent customer service
