Responsibilities
As a
Patient Coordinator
, you play a vital role in supporting providers and ensuring every patient has a smooth and positive experience. Responsibilities include :
- Patient Check-Out & Scheduling :
Review provider recommendations, schedule follow-ups, and ensure treatment plans are clearly explained.
Schedule recommended diagnostic tests, review supplement plans, and provide printed copies for patients.
Call in prescriptions accurately, assist with prior authorizations, and coordinate weight loss medication orders such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide.
Submit insurance verification requests, communicate coverage outcomes, and discuss payment or cash options as needed.
Collaborate with fellow Patient Coordinators, providers, and medical assistants to maintain smooth office flow and consistent communication.
Experience
1–2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (required)
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and scheduling systems (preferred)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer use
Dependable, professional, and able to multitask in a busy environment
