Position Title : Climate Strategist

THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

• Support planning, definition, implementation, and operational management of global climate strategies to yield more effective and flexible strategic environment;
• Realizing the potential of legacy and emerging systems, describe the best posture for strategic forces and related infrastructure;

Assist in the development of the USSTRATCOM Climate Strategy product.

Requirements

Responsibilities :

• Assist with drafting and coordination of Climate policies and procedures.
• Conduct procedure verification and validation
• Support policy and related guidance to include Climate change policies and guidance.
• Assist with publishing the command Climate strategy.
• Provide high quality technical writing, editorial, and other document development expertise.
• Assist in the development and submission of formal classified reports (DRRS, TMT, JTIMS etc.).
• Ensure quality products and services are delivered timely.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED :

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Active Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility for SCI access is required.
• At least 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience / education in principles and theory of environment science, environmental engineering, environmental policy, climatology, sustainability studies, or sustainable development and their related communications and computer systems.
• A valid and current Climate Change Professional (CC-P) certification through ACCO, or integrate earning certificate within transition phase.
• Experience as an action officer with knowledge of Joint Staff and CCMD planning, staffing and tasking processes.
• Experience with DoD operational and strategic assessment or experience conducting mission analysis, developing objectives, effects / measures of effectiveness, tasks / measures of performance and indicators is highly desired.
• Prior DoD operational experience in the following in highly desired :
• CCMD
• MAJCOM
• HQ Service-level current or future operations - strategic, contingency, crisis-action and / or campaign execution
• Demonstrate competent writing and oral communication skills
• Competency with Microsoft Office programs
• Possess skills in optimization, data mining, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling
