About This RoleThe Engineer III will play a key role in building, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale software systems that support enterprise operations. This individual will bridge development and operations—combining strong software engineering fundamentals with deep knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, and automation practices.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software development (C, .NET, or Java) and be able to review, fix, and improve code while driving technical excellence and process improvements across teams.
This is a hands-on, technically focused leadership role suited for candidates who enjoy both engineering execution and guiding best practices across a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities -
Lead and mentor engineering teams to ensure applications are highly available, reliable, and performant at scale.

Leverage prior software development experience to review and fix code, establish standards, and guide best practices across teams.

Partner with architecture and development teams to ensure operability, measurability, and manageability are built into all solutions.

Collaborate with product owners and managers to establish and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and define improvement plans when targets are missed.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues within software, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps processes.

Design and implement automation solutions that improve uptime, reliability, and system resilience.

Actively drive adoption of DevOps, SRE, and SDLC best practices across teams.

Contribute to observability and monitoring standards, ensuring robust visibility into system health.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement in deployment, performance, and scalability.

Participate in an on-call rotation for escalations and system monitoring as needed.
Required Knowledge and SkillsDevelopment & Programming:
-
Hands-on coding experience in C/.NET, Java, or Python.
-
Strong understanding of SDLC, code quality standards, and best practices for maintainability and performance.
DevOps & CI/CD:
-
Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Terraform, ARM templates, YAML pipelines, and GitHub Actions.

Expertise in build and release engineering, version control, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Observability & Monitoring:

Experience with Splunk, Azure Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools for monitoring and metrics.

Strong understanding of logging, alerting, and tracing best practices.
Cloud & Containerization:
-
Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS).

Working knowledge of networking concepts, Azure DNS, API Manager, and Application Gateway.
Scripting & Automation:
Databases:
Qualifications -

Proven ability to understand, troubleshoot, and improve codebases in .NET or Java.

Demonstrated success in CI/CD pipeline design, observability, and system reliability engineering.

High School Diploma or Associate Degree required.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, or IT) strongly preferred.

Master’s Degree in a related field is a plus.
