Job Overview

JWC Steel Co., a leading structural and miscellaneous metals contractor, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our sales and client relations team. Based onsite at our Connecticut location, this full-time role is ideal for a self-motivated, results-driven individual with deep experience in takeoffs and bid development for commercial and industrial steel projects. Key Responsibilities

Review bid invitations from general contractors and identify project scope

Perform material and labor take-offs from structural and architectural drawings

Develop and submit bid proposals accurately and on time

Track and prepare change orders as needed throughout the project lifecycle

Maintain close communication with general contractors and internal departments

Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems

Participate in pre-bid meetings when required

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in steel estimating and takeoffs (structural and miscellaneous metals)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently

Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural plans

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be dependable, resourceful, and highly motivated

Full-Time : Monday Friday

Hours : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
