Institutional commercial real estate finance (ICREF) refers to large-scale, high-quality properties owned or financed by institutional investors like pension funds, endowments, and insurance companies. These properties are typically located in major markets and are sought for their stable income, lower risk profile, and potential for long-term appreciation. ICREF focuses on a wide range of asset classes. While the four primary types have long been retail, office, industrial, and multifamily, the universe has expanded to include alternative properties. Alternative property types include healthcare, senior and student housing, self-storage, and data centers.

In this paid internship, you'll be empowered to work on challenging and complex issues in a collaborative environment with other talented interns. Over the 10-week program, you'll participate in business projects, mentoring, leadership development training and team-building activities designed to set you up for professional success. The summer Internship program runs June through August, with flexible dates available, based on school schedules. Interns who perform well and demonstrate a commitment to our values of integrity, creativity, teamwork, passion and excellence may be extended employment opportunities with Western Alliance Bank.

We're looking for individuals who are passionate and entrepreneurial, just like our clients. Specifically, we're looking for top-performers interested in pursuing careers in Commercial Banking.

What you'll need :

• Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
• An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry.
• To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
